Director, Prescriber Relations
Location: Remote

Purpose
The Director, Prescriber Relations is responsible for executing the strategic vision, enterprise direction, and growth of the Prescriber Relations function. This role develops and executes a comprehensive prescriber engagement strategy that strengthens prescriber partnerships, advances patient access and outcomes, and positions PANTHERx as the specialty pharmacy partner of choice. The Director serves as a senior leader and key cross-functional partner, influencing organizational priorities and ensuring the voice of prescribers and patients is embedded in business strategy, service design, operational excellence, and innovation initiatives. This role drives measurable impact through data-informed decision making, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement across the prescriber experience.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes the long-term strategic vision for the Prescriber Relations function, aligning initiatives with organizational goals, therapy program expansion, patient outcomes, and market growth objectives.
- Leads, mentors, and develops Prescriber Relations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and patient-centricity.
- Establishes performance metrics, operating models, and best practices for prescriber engagement, relationship management, outreach effectiveness, and referral quality.
- Serves as the owner of prescriber experience strategy, ensuring the needs of prescribers, office staff, and patients are reflected in organizational planning and decision-making.
- Oversees strategies to strengthen and expand relationships with prescribers, health systems, integrated delivery networks, and key healthcare stakeholders.
- Partners with executive leadership to identify opportunities for growth, competitive differentiation, and enhanced provider engagement across therapy programs.
- Influences organizational priorities by leveraging prescriber insights, market intelligence, and patient experience data to shape service offerings and strategic investments.
- Provides oversight of complex prescriber issues, escalations, and relationship risks, ensuring timely resolution and preservation of key partnerships.
- Serves as a senior liaison between field teams and internal departments, including operations, implementation, clinical services, patient services, digital innovation, analytics, and marketing.
- Leads cross-functional initiatives that improve referral pathways, patient access, onboarding experiences, service responsiveness, and care outcomes.
- Drives innovation and continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational efficiency, prescriber satisfaction, and patient engagement.
- Establishes and monitors performance metrics, dashboards, and business reviews to evaluate program effectiveness, prescriber adoption, referral quality, patient outcomes, and organizational impact.
- Uses data, analytics, and market trends to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic actions that drive executive decision-making.
- Champions disciplined utilization of CRM, engagement technologies, and reporting tools to ensure data integrity, actionable insights, and operational excellence.
- Presents strategic updates, performance results, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Collaborates with business development, account management, marketing, and clinical leadership to support launch readiness, program expansion, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory, privacy, accreditation, and healthcare industry requirements, including HIPAA and specialty pharmacy standards.
- Represents the organization at industry conferences as required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in prescriber engagement, patient experience, care management, specialty pharmacy, or a related regulated healthcare environments.
- Minimum of five (5) years leadership experience managing teams, preferably in a customer-facing healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated success leading initiatives tied to patient outcomes, quality metrics, or value-based care performance.
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy, provider relations, patient access, healthcare delivery systems, and regulated healthcare environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without sales or revenue ownership.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to identify trends and implement strategic initiatives to drive outcomes and executive decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy or a related field.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Veeva) and analytics tools.
- Prior experience in process improvement and quality initiatives.
Work Environment
This job functions in a professional home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
