General Manager, 3PL Services

Location: Collierville, TN (On-site)

Classification: Exempt

Status: Full-Time

Purpose

The General Manager, 3PL Services acts as the leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of PANTHERx’s third-party logistics (3PL) and wholesale distribution service offering. This role acts as a trusted partner to pharmaceutical manufacturers, delivering integrated, end-to-end logistics solutions that enable the successful commercialization and distribution of specialty therapies.

This leader builds and oversees all aspects of the 3PL model—from order-to-cash operations and inventory management to distribution, transportation, and regulatory compliance—ensuring seamless execution across the supply chain. In alignment with evolving manufacturer needs, this role drives scalable, compliant, and innovative logistics solutions that accelerate speed to market and enhance patient access to life-changing therapies.

The General Manager also serves as the primary interface for clients, providing consultation, fostering long-term partnerships, and ensuring a high-touch, solutions-oriented customer experience. Full accountability includes growth strategy and cross-functional alignment to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Commercialization Support

  • Execute the vision and strategic roadmap for PANTHERx’s 3PL services, aligning capabilities to support pharmaceutical product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and consultative leader in external engagements, supporting business development, RFP processes, and client solution design.
  • Partner with manufacturers to develop tailored logistics and channel strategies, enabling efficient and compliant market entry.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging therapy requirements to evolve service offerings.

Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Management

  • Lead integrated operations across order-to-cash, inventory management, warehousing, packaging, and transportation, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service levels, reduce complexity, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Ensure best-in-class execution aligned with FDA, DSCSA, and other regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Partner with technology on the infrastructure and systemssupporting 3PL operations.

Financial Performance & Growth

  • Partner with Finance on the profit and loss (P&L) accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities through client expansion, new business development, and service innovation.
  • Partner with Business Development and Marketing to position PANTHERx as a differentiated 3PL provider in the specialty pharmacy ecosystem.

Client Partnership & Experience

  • Serve as the escalation point for client relationships, ensuring a responsive, high-quality service experience.
  • Build trusted, consultative partnerships with biopharmaceutical manufacturers, acting as an extension of their team.
  • Lead structured communication, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions with key clients if requested.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build and lead high-performing teams across operations and customer service.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop talent through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Promote alignment with PANTHERx’s mission to improve patient outcomes through supply chain excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Quality & Compliance, Finance, IT, HR, and Legal to ensure integrated and compliant operations.
  • Align internal stakeholders to deliver seamless, end-to-end logistics solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience within 3PL, pharmaceutical distribution, or specialty logistics
  • Deep expertise in supply chain operations, commercialization support, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated success ioperational leadership
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and executive communication skills
  • Experience working with biopharmaceutical manufacturers and specialty therapies
  • Proficiency in 3PL systems, data analytics, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management
  • Experience supporting product launches and commercialization strategies
  • Proven ability to scale operations and drive transformational growth
  • Strong track record of building client partnerships and delivering tailored logistics solutions

Work Environment

This job functions in a professional home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
